Before you come in
You can choose to drop by the centre or call first for more information or to make an appointment. When you come in, we'll ask you to fill out an information sheet. This is the first step in the assessment service at the centre. To help us serve you faster, you may want to print and fill out the client information sheet (PDF) before you come in.
It will also help if you bring with you:
- the addresses and phone numbers of any other people involved
- the dates of any scheduled court appearances
- details of any previous related appointments
- copies of all relevant documents, such as court papers, contracts, letters, or receipts
There are many services available at the centre. You may be eligible to get free legal advice from a paralegal or a lawyer and, in some cases, you may qualify to have a lawyer take on your case for free. You can apply for legal representation (for family matters) at the centre. Check out the financial guidelines before you come in, and bring proof of your income with you.
